I wrote this thesis for myself and someone who would like to learn improvised music not from Jazz but Bach. I analyzed one composition by Bach, then I showed one example of using his idea to a Jazz standard tune. It was challenging for me to understand and analyze his composition as a Jazz improviser. To be honest I don't like to learn the music language from Bebop music but I like to play Jazz standard music. If someone would like to be good at playing jazz music, I think that it is important to know the music language in jazz.

Genom att spela in Lars Janssons låtar samt en av mina egna, utforskar jag pianots roll i dessa olika sorters ECM-jazz kompositioner. Jansson låtar är oftast skrivna för en triokonstellation (piano, bas och trummor). I triokonstellation är det viktigt för pianisten att upprätthålla harmonik, rytmik och tema. Kompositionerna har oftast starka teman och pianot en ledande roll. Med min egen komposition ska jag försöka efterlikna Janssons kompositioner, samt undersöka ECMjazzens karaktäristiska kännetecken.

This master thesis is about the production of the record ?Brutus? with the band ?Trilobit?. Trilobit consists of the three musicians, myself, Stina Hellberg Agback on pedal harp, Simon Sva?rd on guitar and Karl Jansson on drums.During the production, I have analyzed different aspects of my own musicality and also the role of the pedal harp in jazz. Genom postkolonial teoribildning har vi valt att göra en diskursanalys av hiphop i svensk media. Syftet är att urskilja om och hur media placerar in hiphop i schablonen ?de Andra?. Samtidigt gör vi en jämförelse med hur jazzen en gång framställdes, för att sätta det i en historisk kontext. Det empiriska materialet består av artiklar ur ett svenskt hiphopmagasin samt två hiphopvideor.

The study shows how seven informants, all studying at a university in northern Sweden to become art teachers, perceive and relate to controversial contemporary art in the context of secondary school art education. The study is based on semi-structured interviews. The study contributes to a nuanced view of these informants opinions and thoughts regarding provocative contemporary art, in relation to the school's democratic values ??and founding mission. This paper presents an approach in contemporary, abstract art for a new way of experiencing modernist abstraction. This has not been possible until now, about 40 years after the postmodern turn against modernism in art, and the closely connected formalism. This new approach is represented in this paper by the Swedish contemporary artists Ann Edholm and Jacob Dahlgren. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka vilka skillnader och likheter det finns mellan bassolon som spelas i pop/rockgenren och de som spelas i jazzgenren. I undersökningen plankades totalt 15 solon, 7 från rockgenren och 8 från jazzgenren, och skrevs ned på noter. Dessa analyserades sedan och jämfördes mellan genrerna. Undersökningen visade att det finns skillnader men också likheter mellan bassolon i de olika genrerna. De största likheterna var att mollpentan och bluesskalan används i båda genrerna och de största skillnaderna var att i jazz används även approach notes, genomgångstoner med mera.

I have also studied if Swedish teenagers are influenced by the contemporary reflections often showed in these movies.
